Target Audience:  Any students, staff or faculty.  Especially those who would like an update.

Description: Introduce students to the Medical Subject Headings Database at the National Library of Medicine and demonstrate the use of the database to quickly find relevant information in PubMed.  This is an advanced search process which can narrow a search faster than using simple keywords.

Objectives:

  • Participants will be able to describe the Medical Subject Headings.
  • Participants will be able to complete searches using MeSH.
  • Participants will be able to use MeSH Subheadings to narrow a search.
