National Medical Librarians Month


Local Observances

  • Wednesday, Oct 18, 2017: Domestic Violence Survivor Panel
    From 12:00 - 1:00 pm in the Medical School Auditorium at LSU Health Shreveport presented by the SAVE Program. Lunch will be provided.
  • Saturday, Oct 21, 2017: 10th Annual Chili Cook-off benefitting Camp Tiger
    Saturday, October 21 at Fud's, 2459 E. 70th Street in Shreveport. Cooking begins at 11am with judging starting at 3pm. Chili as well as red beans and rice will be sold to raise funds for Camp Tiger. The event will also include raffle prizes.
  • Saturday, Oct 28, 2017: The Great Pumpkin Run for Research
    This year's 5K run for Cancer Research will start at Betty Virginia Park at 8:30am. Activities include a costume contest, pumpkin decorating, face painting and more!
  • Wednesday, Nov 1, 2017: Therapy Dogs in the Library
    Does Halloween give you the jitters? Are you getting nervous about school exams or papers? Come to the library at 3pm Wednesday, November 1 for a soothing visit from therapy dogs Cooper, Bayou and Gracie, who will help you "keep calm and carry on."
